Choosing the Right Size
The right size print transforms a room. Too small and the piece gets lost on the wall. Too large and it overwhelms the space. This guide will help you choose a size that feels intentional and balanced, whether you're filling a statement wall or adding a quiet accent to a smaller space.
The 60-75% Rule
The most reliable guideline for sizing wall art: your print should fill roughly 60-75% of the available wall space above a piece of furniture. Measure the width of your sofa, bed, console, or mantle, then multiply by 0.60 to 0.75. The result is your ideal print width.
For example, above a 72" sofa, a print between 43" and 54" wide will feel balanced and proportional. Above a 48" console table, look for something in the 29" to 36" range.
If there's no furniture anchoring the wall, measure the wall itself and apply the same ratio. A 10-foot wall calls for a 72" to 90" print for real impact.
Quick Size Reference
Small (15 x 10" and under)
Gallery walls, shelves, desks, and intimate spaces. Works well as part of a grouping or in narrow hallways and powder rooms.
Medium (30 x 20")
Bedrooms, home offices, entryways, and dining areas. A versatile size that holds its own on most walls without overwhelming the room.
Large (45 x 30")
Living rooms, above sofas, dining rooms, and larger bedrooms. This is where a photograph starts to command real presence. A strong choice for a focal wall.
Extra Large (60 x 40" and above)

3:2 Aspect Ratio
Our most common format — a classic proportion used in traditional photography.

Placement Tips
Hanging Height
Center your print at eye level — approximately 57" to 60" from the floor to the center of the piece. This is the standard used in galleries and museums worldwide. When hanging above furniture, leave 6-8" of space between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the print.
Lighting
Both acrylic and metal prints are designed to interact beautifully with light. Position your print where it will catch natural or accent lighting for maximum visual impact. Avoid hanging directly opposite windows that receive harsh direct sunlight.
Viewing Distance
As a general rule, you should be able to stand back at least 1.5x the diagonal measurement of the print for the best viewing experience. A 45 x 30" print, for example, looks best from about 6-7 feet away.
When in Doubt, Go Bigger
The most common mistake in choosing wall art is going too small. A print that feels slightly too large at first will quickly become a natural part of the room. A print that's too small will always look like an afterthought.

How do I know which size is right for my wall?
Start by measuring your wall or the furniture beneath where the print will hang. Use the 60-75% rule: multiply the width of the furniture (or wall) by 0.60 to 0.75 to find your ideal print width. If you're still unsure, tape a piece of paper or cardboard to the wall in the size you're considering. Live with it for a day and see how it feels in the space.
What if my wall is small?
Small walls and narrow spaces are perfect for our smaller sizes (15 x 10"). These prints work beautifully in hallways, powder rooms, home offices, and as part of a gallery wall arrangement. Even at smaller sizes, our gallery-grade printing process delivers exceptional detail, depth, and presence.
Does the print medium affect the perceived size?
Yes, slightly. Acrylic prints have a frameless, floating appearance that can make them feel larger and more prominent on the wall.
